Monday, 19th December 2016. International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV) held a public lectures at Amphitheater, 4th Floor Graduate School Building, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) under the title of “Development Planning Processes: In Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta” The public lecture was moderated by Rijal Ramdani, S.IP., MPA as IGOV Lecturer and Staff.
The public lecturer delivered by Mujahid Amrudin, S.IP, he is the lecturer in Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintahan (LKPP) in Jakarta and as a head of Department of Development Planning in Bantul Regency. Amrudin explained that development planning processes is a process of drafting a severals stages of activities that involve various stakeholders elements with their own interest, in term to utilizing and allocating the resources in order to improve social welfare in one region/area within a certain period. Amrudin also explain about the principles, instruments, challenges, stages, and strategic in development planning.
By bringing in a speakers who work in governmental area, this public lecture expected the students to have a better understanding according to how the law being implemented in field. Furthermore, the students are expected to be able work in governmental field either work for the society after their graduated from this program.
