Kuala Lumpur, June 2nd, 2018, Hanny Sri Handayani, a student of International Program of Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV), selected as a delegate on partially funded scholarship batch IV of International Islamic Cultural Connect (IICC). The goal of IICC program is to manifest the Youth Muslim Generation mindset with broad insight into understanding Islamic education and culture. Together with 22 delegates from all college students in Indonesia, Hanny got a chance to visit Malaysia-Singapore for 3 days.

There were several educational activities spending days during Ramadhan. She visited International Islamic University Malaysia in Selangor. The arrival of the delegates to IIUM was to conduct an international discussion in the conference room. Mr Noor Faizul, head of the graduate program lead the session to discuss related to the future leaders of Islam. Afterwards, they came to see Global Peace Mission (GPM) Malaysia. It is a founding member of Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) based in Istanbul, Turkey which maintains peace and focuses on humanity issues. On the last day, she and other delegates went to Singapore to look around Merlion Park the Singapore’s national icon and Masjid Sultan Singapore.

Hanny said “I am very grateful to be one of the IICC delegates, moreover that my departure conducted during Ramadan so that I can feel the fasting in other countries. For me, this program does not only give me new friends but also teach me how great Islam unites all people living in different countries in the world. ”
