Yogyakarta,  January 10, 2018, IGOV held an English class by natives at Pascasarjana building, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. It is a weekly class that led by the lecture and student from Princeton University. The class is started from 10 to 31 January 2018 each Wednesday at 1 pm to 3 pm.

In addition, this is one of the breakthroughs of ‘Where There Be Dragon’ for the Students of Princeton University and UMY Students as general. IGOV is always been welcoming to any new ideas that would improve the Students ability and enhance their knowledge. As well as giving the Students opportunity to have a foreigner friend.

“This was our initiative in order to encourage the Students in having an Exchange Experiences for real. I want them not only learning Indonesian culture and language but also sharing their culture and language too to the UMY Students. I am glad to find out the fact that there are a lot of UMY Students who are excited about the class.” said Christine a Lecture of Princeton University.

In term of class, the students were given a chance to learn and improve their English ability and knowledge through a discussion. The students were divided into a small group that consists of Indonesian students and US Students. So, it provides a chance to the students to monitor their own learning and thus gain an experience of self-direction and independence of the instructors. As well as enhancing their confidence in Speaking which is one of the goals of the Students itself.

Moreover, the class is not only followed by IGOV Students but also other majors such as Engineering, Management, and Information System major of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
