Yogyakarta, Wednesday, 7 February 2018, International Program of Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV) held an interview to select the Exchange Candidates to study abroad. There are 15 IGOV Students who registered themselves to participate in Exchange Program 2018/2019. Most of them are willing to study in South Korea and China. However, some of them are intended to study in Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia. One of the reasons why South Korea and China mostly chosen by the Students is because of the different weather and culture compared to the ASEAN countries.
In addition, the result of the University where they will study at was considered several factors, such as TOEFL score, academic performance, motivation letter, and curriculum vitae. Moreover, the announcement of the Exchange Candidates will be released within today, Thursday, 8 February 2018 in the afternoon.
“The percentage of the Exchange Candidates in this semester has fluctuated from the previous semester. Last semester we sent more than 20 Students to study abroad, but now we just send 15 Students. This is our homework to motivate the Students to get involved in International exposure such as Exchange Program since they are listed as the International Students.” said Rijal Ramdani, S.IP., MPA the IGOV Secretary.
