IGOV held a Public Hearing with the Students who are studying at International Program of Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV) on November 15, 2017, in Study Hall, Pascasarjana building, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The Public Hearing itself is an annual program of IGOV in order to evaluate the program during a year.
There are 55% the attendance of all the representatives from each of 2014 to 2017. As well as the students exchange from Thammasat University, Thailand and some IGOV lecturers who were attending the public hearing.
In terms of discussion, several students were complaining about the attendance and the English proficiency of the lecturers and the facilities whether in the classroom or even in the study hall. The rest is the question-answer session about Exchange program. As well as the suggestion to make an alumni forum in enhancing the brotherhood among IGOV Students.
The lecturers who attended the public hearing delivered the apologies to all of the IGOVers if they could not meet the expectation of the Students. However, the Lecturers also complained the behavior of IGOV Students to be disciplined in term of coming to the class as well as submitting the assignment.
In term of facilities, the IGOV Secretary Rijal Ramdani, S.IP., MPA said that what IGOV can do is reporting the broken facilities, particularly to General Bureau. “We are glad that our students have a critical thinking, we also wide open for anybody to demonstrate their thought and critics for the better IGOV in the future,” said Rijal Ramdani., S.IP., MPA a Secretary of IGOV.
