Yogyakarta (18/2) – One of the students of the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration of The University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) has just attended the Entrepreneurship Workshop for Students Phase 1 organized by the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region 5 D.I.Y. at The Cavinton Hotel on February 15 – 16, 2022. LLDIKTI asked every private campus located in Yogyakarta to send one delegation to attend the event.
The event was organized to equip knowledge, improve skills, and foster student spirit in entrepreneurship. To support the event, LLDIKTI invited speakers who are experienced in their fields, with materials such as Team Building, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Techniques of Writing Entrepreneurship Proposals, Building the spirit of leaders, and building businesses in Market place and Social Media.
Awang Rajaprakoso Purnomo, one of the students of IGOV UMY Force 2020 became a delegate for the event. He said the event was very exciting and motivating to foster an entrepreneurial spirit, in addition, he claimed many benefits and new knowledge in terms of building entrepreneurship from participating in the Workshop event.
“Alhamdulilah, the workshop activities went smoothly and exciting. Many knowledge and benefits that can be taken to be implemented in real life”

Awang continued that although he took the Study Program in Government Science, did not rule out the possibility to become an entrepreneur and do not be afraid to get out of his comfort zone, because we do not know what will happen in the future, therefore the need to study other than what is being carried out at this time. Sertifikasi Kompetensi, Improving The Quality of The Students to Compete in The World of Work

Yogyakarta (17/2), Indonesia – In light of the present technological disruption, the Government Office needs a human resource in the field of dependable public relations. The Government Science Study Program, which is essential to produce qualified graduates, recognizes the urgency. As a result, the UMY IP Study Program held a Public Affairs Analyst Competency Certification for chosen students in the 2018 class. On Saturday (12/2), the evaluation was held in the UMY FISIPOL Building.
Certification operations are carried out in collaboration with the LSP UMY, an official entity directly recognized by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Some students who successfully passed the file selection by Study Program are entitled to an evaluation test on the day and date set by LSP UMY. Interestingly, the UMY IP Study Program initiated this Professional Certification activity in response to student concerns about the value of professional certification. (ARP)

The Oldest Agriculture Institution in Thailand

Yogyakarta (16/2) – Maejo University (MJU.) in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, is the country’s oldest agricultural institution. Founded in 1934 as the Northern Agricultural Teachers Training School, it was reformed and renamed numerous times before becoming a full-fledged public university in 1996, and has been known as Maejo University since then.
MJU and the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration have a good relationship such as, IGOV and MJU have been working together since 2015 and the form of cooperation from both parties is like staff and student exchange, currently, IGOV sends 10 students for Student Exchange to MJU. In addition, IGOV and MJU cooperate in the form of research collaboration. Furthermore, one of the lecturers at MJU is often a guest for one of the programs at IGOV, namely visiting professor Abroad. Yogyakarta (12/2) – Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.I.P., M.Si. held an Academic Speech event of UMY Professor With the title of the speech “Digital and Evidence-based Policy: The Challenges in Creating Agile Governance”. The event was held on February 12th, 2022 at the AR Fachruddin B Building on the 5th floor. This event was attended by people who helped and contributed to Prof. Arin’s journey for his achievements to obtain the highest Academic Degree, namely Professor of Government Science.
In addition, the Academic Speech was attended by Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, MP., IPM. as rector of UMY and its ranks. On this occasion, the Rector of UMY who is familiarly called Pak Gun claimed to be proud of the UMY Lecturers who were confirmed to be Professors. The success is certainly not separated from the cooperation of the entire UMY community to help lecturers in achieving the title of Professor
Of course, with the many Professors at UMY hopes to advance innovation through research and development are getting bigger, especially for the Indonesian nation.

UMY IP Study Program Efforts to Increase Publication of Internationally Reputable Scientific Works with Science Camp

Yogyakarta (11/2)- Government Science Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (Prodi IP UMY) conducted authorship training with the title “Science Camp: Training in Writing Scientific Works of Reputable and Devotional Journal” on February 10 – 11, 2022. Science Camp was attended by UMY IP Science Lecturer which was held on a limited basis at Yats Colony Hotel, Yogyakarta.
To improve the competence of UMY IP lecturers in the quality of writing, Science Camp becomes one of the activities that serve to level the competence of lecturers in the publication of internationally reputable scientific journals. This program is also continued in the competencies held by Merdeka Campus. In addition, with the science camp training can add science from the search for references of scientific journals that are sought.
Hopefully, the holding of Science Camp can increase the capacity of Lecturers in scientific authorship, in addition, more and more scientific works from lecturer devotion and become the rise of relevant teaching materials from lecturers’ devotion in making internationally reputable scientific works.
