UMY visits SMA N 8 Yogyakarta for Promotion on The 2nd Campus Tour

YOGYAKARTA (28/2) – For the UMY’s 42nd anniversary, UMY Campus Tour activities will be held at various high schools in Indonesia. This activity was accommodated by the UMY Admissions, which involved their students in this program to introduce the UMY campus to candidate students in various regions in Indonesia. The events started with presentations to the school’s pupils about educational studies at UMY, presentations programs at the UMY campus, and inviting candidates of the students to tour the campus area to discuss UMY more.

One of the IGOV students, Gumesha Rahma Jati, also had the opportunity to be directly involved in the UMY Campus Tour held at SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta on Tuesday, 28 February 2023. The event went lively with enthusiasm from students who paid attention to Gumesha’s presentation. Meanwhile, Gumesha explained the international class Government Science program, student exchange program, and scholarships students could apply for. Gumesha shared her experience as an outstanding student in participating in the 4th Bandung Lautan Api International Silat Championship.

This is the second year that UMY has held Campus Tours to various regions in Indonesia. This activity will attract and motivate students to continue their education, especially at UMY, which facilitates students to gain more exciting experiences through the various programs offered. It is an international class program.

Boosting School Promotion, IGOV UMY held Roadshows to Various Regions

Yogyakarta (3/2) – Promotion to school is something that all universities, both public and private, must do. This is done in order to further enhance the brand awareness of a study program or university. In addition, one of the efforts to get quality prospective students is to promote the introduction of the study program to both students and teachers.

IGOV UMY conducted a roadshow activity with the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University Admission Bureau. There are several cities in Indonesia that are the destinations for the roadshow conducted by IGOV UMY, such as Tangerang, Tulungagung, Klaten, and Sleman. IGOV was represented by Aditya Fatmandadika Qurnain, IGOV Batch 2020. This activity took place through several different schemes in each city, such as direct presentations to classes, campus exhibitions with various other universities, and many more.

From the beginning of January to the end of February, this activity was carried out in Tulungagung on January 15-17, 2023; Klaten on January 26-28, 2023; Tangerang on January 29-31, 2023; Pakem, Sleman, and Solo on February 4-8, 2023; and Solo on January 20, 2023.This activity takes place in various schools, both public and private.

 

Aditya admitted that he was very happy because he was given the opportunity to represent IGOV UMY, Apart from his lively speech, students at the school were also very enthusiastic about asking questions about IGOV UMY. “It’s really fun to be IGOV’s representative for promotions to schools. Apart from being able to meet new people, I can also explain to students how the learning culture is at IGOV. The majority of their children ask about where student exchanges can go,” said Aditya (FLT)

IGOV UMY Goes to SMA N 1 Bambanglipuro

Yogyakarta (2/1) Education must be introduced to the nation’s generation at a young age. One that has an obligation to introduce itself to students is higher education, where, with accurate information about tertiary institutions, students will get quality educational services. This is one way to open the horizons of thinking for the youth of this nation, because education is very important for the life of the nation and state. none other than the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY), which has an obligation to introduce itself to all students in Indonesia.

IGOV UMY is represented by Fadhilla Septiyaning, IGOV student class of 2020. Introducing IGOV UMY through a campus promotion at SMA N-1 Bambanglipuro in collaboration with Admission The purpose of this program is to provide knowledge to students about the advantages of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University and the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration and to provide an overview of quality PTS.

 

The responses were varied. Students at SMA N 1 Bambanglipuro asked about partner campuses for student exchange destinations, living costs, and cultural differences between Indonesia and student exchange destination countries. As Fadhilla Septyaning said, “The students enthusiastically listened to my explanation; some of them asked about the destination countries for student exchanges, how much it costs to live abroad, and how the culture is different from Indonesia.” (FLT)

The visit to SMAN 1 Sewon was Enthusiastic

Yogyakarta (24/12) – School visits are a routine agenda held by the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) to introduce IGOV UMY to high school/equivalent schools in Indonesia. Activities in collaboration with the UMY Admissions Bureau have visited several schools in areas such as Gunungkidul, Bojonegoro, Solo, Yogyakarta, etc.

This time IGOV UMY visited SMAN 1 Sewon, Yogyakarta to introduce IGOV UMY with the topic Closer to IGOV UMY presented by Adibah Dhivani Gusmi, S.IP., as the team from IGOV. This activity was warmly welcomed by grade 12 students and teachers.

“On this visit, we were warmly welcomed by them and they were very enthusiastic about it,” said Adibah

Students of SMAN 1 Sewon, Yogyakarta were very enthusiastic about listening to the introductory material and gave lots of two-way interactions, and asked questions about IGOV UMY.

“Very enthusiastic, they asked lots of questions and showed their curiosity about IGOV UMY,” said Adibah. (ARP)

The Visit from SMAN 2 Pringsewu Was Interactive and Exciting!

Yogyakarta (13/12) – For the umpteenth time, the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) was allowed to take part in promotional activity for school visits held by the UMY Admissions Bureau. On this occasion, IGOV UMY was allowed to welcome guests from SMAN 2 Pringsewu, Lampung who was conducting a Goes to Campus event to the best campuses in Indonesia.

Before they visited UMY they visited tourist attractions around the D.I.Y. because it is very unfortunate if visiting Yogyakarta does not enjoy the existing tourist attractions. This was disclosed by one student who declined to be named.

“Before we visited UMY, we visited tourist attractions around D.I.Y such as Borobudur Temple, Yogyakarta Palace, Malioboro, etc,” he said

Next, they visited UMY to get to know more about UMY and IGOV UMY which was held on Saturday (10/12) and took place in the Ar. Fachrudin A Building, 5th floor, UMY. This activity was brought by Imam Suprabowo, S.Sos.I., M.Pd.I to introduce the ins and outs of UMY and Fadhila Septiyaning, one of the batch 2020 IGOV UMY students to introduce the advantages of IGOV UMY.

According to Fadhila, the visit was conducive and interactive considering a large number of participants. The activity which was attended by 188 participants showed their enthusiasm by asking questions about IGOV UMY and UMY.

“Wow, I think the visit was very conducive and interactive, judging from their enthusiasm in asking about the advantages of IGOV UMY and they seemed interested in the Student Exchange Program which they asked a lot about,” Fadhila said. (ARP)

To prepare for a Gathering with Superior Schools, IGOV UMY Participated in a Meeting with UMY Admissions

Yogyakarta (18/11) – Since the reopening of new student registration on October 10, 2022, the Admisi Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Admisi UMY) invited study programs at UMY to create new and innovative strategies to attract a wider range of students. As of Friday, November 18, 2022, Admisi UMY invited international programs to discuss gathering preparations with the leading schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java. Since then there have been several promotional programs formed by Admisi UMY to attract new students such as Campus Roadshows, Socialization of New Student Admissions, etc.

the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) is one of the international programs participating in this activity. As for the results of the meeting, Admission and UMY’s international program will hold a workshop and invite 65 top schools in D.I.Y and Central Java Provinces to introduce international programs at UMY. The activity will be opened directly by the rector of UMY Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, MP., IPM.

In addition, each school is allowed to send their 2 best students to enter the international class without going through an entrance test. Of course, this activity is expected to help introduce IGOV UMY to the wider community and capture the best students so they can unleash their potential at IGOV UMY “With this activity we hope to help students who feel confused to continue their studies and provide a solution that there is a Study Program that is capable bring out their best potential, namely, IGOV UMY” said Foltama Juna Prasetya as the IGOV UMY Promotion Team.
