Congratulations! Director of IGOV UMY Declared Competent in the MSME Assistance Scheme

Yogyakarta(31/10) – Director of the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) Sakir Ridho Wijaya, S.IP., M.IP., was successfully declared competent in the BNSP licensed competency test with the MSME Assistance scheme after three days of training and competency testing. This competency certification is intended to test whether the assessment can help, direct and support individuals/groups of MSMEs, and Cooperatives through problem formulation, planning, implementing, and evaluating in proper business development.

Many competencies must be mastered by MSME facilitators in carrying out their duties so that the mentoring program can run effectively and achieve the expected goals. Considering the problems faced and must be addressed by each of the assisted MSME actors, this is quite complex and requires specific solutions.
MSME assistants must be able to improve the business conditions of the assisted MSMEs in terms of business planning, increasing work productivity, improving packaging, recording financial transactions, expanding marketing and partnerships, and so on. Broad basic knowledge of the identification of mentoring needs, production management, marketing management, financial management, online marketing strategies, and various other knowledge is required.

The urgency of this scheme is increasing along with the increasing number of MSMEs which is not matched by an increased understanding of entrepreneurial concepts. In addition, there were 3 lecturers from the UMY Government Science Study Program who were declared competent in the UMKM companion scheme. The 3 lecturers are, Atik Septi Winarsih, M.Sc., Suswanta, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, M.Si. Through his success in being declared competent and competent in the MSME mentoring scheme, it is hoped that UMY IP Lecturers can carry out their duties with a mandate to manifest the development of the UMY IP Study Program in assisting MSMEs nationally.
