Giving Aspiration of Problems in the Village to the DPRD Sleman with IGOV Youth Action #1

Yogyakarta (29/3) – International Program of Government Affairs and Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) has just finished its event, IGOV Youth Action #1. The event was held on 26 – 28 March 2022 at the Margokaton Village and the Sleman DPRD. The participants of the IGOV Youth Action #1 event were high school youth from all over Indonesia, 20 participants from all over Indonesia were very enthusiastic about participating in the IGOV Youth Action #1 event.
IGOV Youth Action #1 in Margokaton, Sleman is a youth empowerment program as a forum for self-actualization, understanding diversity and local wisdom, and becoming future leaders for youth throughout Indonesia, by going directly to the field (Kalurahan Margokaton) to analyze and better know the situation of the Village which will later be aspirated or provide solutions to the Village leadership and the Sleman DPRD. In addition, the IGOV Youth Action #1 event became a program to introduce IGOV UMY among youths and became an illustration of how the form of implementation of learning held at IGOV UMY was.
 

The event was very lively and fun, even according to the participants of the IGOV Youth Action #1 event, it was very memorable in their hearts, they didn’t even think that the IGOV Youth Action #1 event would be this good. The committee also felt close to the participants and this event was very memorable for the committee. Mas Folta the head of the program said that he was very proud and hoped that in the future the youth who participated in IGOV Youth Action #1 would become future leaders.
 
 

Tresiya Nabilah, one of the participants from IGOV Youth Action #1 from SMA Tiga Maret Yogyakarta said that this event was beyond their expectations, she did not expect to get actual knowledge from those who do not know to know, adding to the knowledge that has been obtained, and what must be a self-evaluation “IGOV Youth Action #1 is fun, there are a lot of lessons that can be taken from here, even self-evaluation, I know more about where I am lacking and I can improve to increase my competition in the future!” Next, he added that hopefully there will be IGOV Youth Action #2 which is more exciting and can help channel aspirations towards the problems that exist in the village.
