IGOV UMY Attends Gathering Activities with Favourite Schools

Yogyakarta (23/11) – Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University held a meeting with representatives from top schools in the city of Yogyakarta and its surroundings, Wednesday, 23 November 2022. This event took place on the Ground Floor of the K.H. Mosque. Ahmad Dahlan UMY. This gathering was carried out to introduce international program classes at UMY and establish cooperation with Favourite Schools.

An introduction to international programs at UMY was delivered by Dr. Imam Suprabowo, S.Sos., M.Pd. as the Head of the Admissions Bureau. He introduced 8 international study programs, starting from the International Program of International Relations (IPIREL), the International Program of Law and Sharia (IPOLS), the International Program of Islamic Economics & Finance (IPIEF), the International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV), International Program of Accounting (IPACC), International Program of Management and Business (IMABS), International Program of Islamic Communication (IPICOM) and International Program of Communication Studies (IP-COS).

UMY also signed memorandums of understanding with top schools. This memorandum of understanding contained cooperation between UMY and the top schools that were established in the context of distributing students to international programs at UMY. Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University provides a quota of 16 students from each superior school. Of the 16 students who have been selected, two students will be included in each of the 8 international programs at UMY.

The top schools that have established this collaboration include Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten High School, Trensain Muhammadiyah Sragen High School, MA Al Irsyad Tengaran, Yogyakarta 1 MAN, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah 2 High School, Yogyakarta 8 State High School, Yogyakarta 3 State Senior High School, Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta MA., Abu Bakar Kulon Progo High School, Yogyakarta 1 Public High School, Al Mukmin Muhammadiyah Tembarak MA, Yogyakarta 1 Muhammadiyah High School, Yogyakarta 6 Muhammadiyah High School, Darul Quran MA, Mujahidin Muhammadiyah Wonosari High School, Darul Hikmah Kutoarjo High School, Baitul Quran High School, Muhammadiyah 7 High School Yogyakarta, MA Ponpes Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Bantul, and Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret.
