Yogyakarta (19/9) – In order to increase the capacity of education personnel (Tendik), the Government Science Study Program of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Prodi IP UMY) has just held an Educational Personnel Capacity Development activity through Service Excellent and Digital Creative Training funded by the Merdeka Campus Competition Program Grant (PK- KM) Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for Fiscal Year 2022. The activity was held on 17-18 September 2022 at Griya Persada Hotel & Convention Resort, Yogyakarta.
The activity began with the delivery of material on Building Excellent Service Based on ISLAMIC Work Culture which was presented by Prof. Dr. Nano Prawoto, SE., M.Sc., gives the view that by obtaining consumer surplus or customer satisfaction, it can indirectly promote UMY.
“ISLAMIC (Integrity, Sustainability, Leading, Accountability, Modern, Innovation, Commitment). The 7 letters that symbolize the work culture of UMY are expected to be able to create excellent service. Because excellent service is an important element to encourage lecturers, employees, and technicians to carry out maximum work a day -day. When consumers always get consumer surplus, consumers will get satisfaction. So automatically, students as satisfied consumers indirectly promote UMY.” he said
In addition, to further increase the capacity of education staff (tendik) of the IP UMY Study Program in order to provide excellent service, the activity also attended Endro Dwi Hatmanto, S.Pd., M.A., Ph.D with the material on Building Leadership and Teamwork “High-dose Motivation Towards Work”. Achievement” which provides material on the 4 ethos that must be possessed, namely gratitude, trust, work is service and contribution and work is honor. In addition, he gave the view that a superior and a subordinate must have a good relationship in order to become co-workers.
“In work, the leader plays an important role in creating a comfortable work environment. Leaders must be able to provide innovation in the work environment so that working relationships are not limited to only superiors and subordinates but also become co-workers. For example in Australia, superiors treat subordinates very well so there is no gap between the two. From this example it can be said that a comfortable environment will increase morale.” he said
It is very important to carry out technical capacity building activities. Therefore, this all-day activity can provide benefits for UMY IP Study Program students who are at the forefront of service for consumers. (ARP)
