Universiti Sains Malaysia Campus ranked 142nd in the world According to QS World Ranking

Yogyakarta (10/2) – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) was established in 1969 as the country’s second university. For local and international undergraduates and postgraduates, USM provides outstanding opportunities for research, innovation, and education. The primary driver of higher education development is in the domains of Natural Sciences, Applied Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Building Sciences & Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education. Teaching, research, and consulting are three of the University’s main strengths, all of which are directly tied to the progress of human resource development and the development of capacity, knowledge, and industrial competitiveness.
In 2008, USM was given APEX status. Among other things, the APEX agenda encourages the university to become one of the greatest higher education institutions in the world. USM is also the country’s leading Research-Intensive University, and it has taken an innovative approach to higher education, transitioning from a traditional faculty system to a broad-based school system. In addition to contributing to national research efforts and knowledge growth in general, the University has made steps to identify and appraise areas of study deserving of specific assistance to compete more effectively for external financing on a regular basis. USM has lately adopted unique rules regarding patenting and commercialization of research discoveries to further reward its staff’s development of new goods and methods.
International Program of Government Affairs and Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (IGOV UMY) has good cooperation with USM, IGOV UMY and USM have been working together since 2013. As a form of good cooperation, many IGOV UMY or USM students send each other students to conduct student exchanges. Almost every year students from IGOV UMY send their students to conduct student exchanges. Right now IGOV UMY sends 5 students to student exchange in USM four students are online student exchange and the last one are going offline class in USM. (ARP)
