IGOV Invited IGOV Students and UUM Students to the 17th URECOL in UMY

YOGYAKARTA (11/3) – Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held the 17th University Research Colloquium (URECOL) on Saturday (11/3) at the UMY Postgraduate Building, Bantul, Yogyakarta. URECOL is a national seminar forum that provides opportunities for dissemination, discussion, and obtaining follow-up on research output and community service. This event invited academics, lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and students to submit articles or papers in the Call For Paper session. IGOV UMY also asked the IGOV Students and UUM students to be part of this meeting, as long as their lecturer, Associate Prof. Halimah binti Abdul Manaf, is appointed as 2nd keynote speaker in Keynote session along with Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.Eng and Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukamta, MT., IPM., ASEAN-Eng. 

Adibah Dhivani Gusmi, S.IP., IGOV staff said, “This event is interesting to discuss as a student college, as the UUM graduated students are immediately to work. Hopefully, this event increases their comprehension to be prepared on worldwide issues”. She continues that these events brief them on the issues and the challenges in the Research and Dedication Program. Moreover, after these events, the students are ready to encounter the prospect of work and manage the project effectively. 

Continuing detailed discussion, the students will be separated in the parallel session to get the students to join with other researchers in URECOL to discuss, examine and analyze the topic and the concern about this 17th URECOL. After the session, several lecturers will attend a Welcoming dinner at Warung Pohon Restaurant, Sewon, to discuss their research collaboration.
