IGOV Students Have the Opportunity to Enroll in Short Semesters.

In a recent announcement, The Government Science Program (IP) revealed the introduction of the Short Semester Program for the upcoming 2022/2023 academic year. The short semester is a period of lectures between the transition from the even semester to the odd semester. Its purpose is to offer students a chance to enhance their grades from the previous regular semester, expedite their study progress, and efficiently use the holiday break. However, students participating in the KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) program during the short semester will not be allowed to enroll in regular courses (MK), ensuring they can fully dedicate themselves to their KKN responsibilities.

IP program has outlined a comprehensive timeline for the intermediate semester. Filling the KRS (Kartu Rencana Studi) and making payments will occur from July 3 to July 14, 2023. Lectures are scheduled to commence on July 17, 2023, and continue until September 16, 2023. Students are required to pay the Variable Tuition Fee, along with any other applicable fees, following a similar payment procedure to that of a regular semester. Pre-KRS students must decide on a maximum of 9 credits worth of courses they intend to take before paying through a designated bank in cooperation with IP. Once the payment is completed, students can key in their chosen courses via the KRS system and attend lectures per the provided schedule.

Introducing the short Semester Program at IP demonstrates the institution’s commitment to adapting to students’ evolving needs. By offering the option to choose odd or even semester courses, IP aims to enhance the academic experience and provide a more personalized education for its students.
