Bandung, May 11th, 2018, Al Fauzi Rahmat a third-year student at International Program of Governmental Affairs and Administration (IGOV) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta got a second national award. Al Fauzi and his team, Ruli Desianti and Hendy Setiawan participated in the Public Policy Innovation Competition with the theme The Youth Transformed Indonesia “National Government Day 2018” which organized by the Government Science Student Association FISIP UNPAD. This competition was held in UNPAD Training Center (UTC) and followed by 18 universities from all over Indonesia. They were Pattimura University, Gajah Mada University and so on.

There were three sub-themes and two sessions that were contested in the competition. The themes were an environmental theme, economic theme, and social theme. In the first session, Al Fauzi and his friends intelligently wrote an environmental paper entitled Smart Area. Due to this paper, they were selected to become a delegate of UMY by beating 63 competitors.
The second session, they were required to present a new and fresh idea related to the healthy environment.
The focus of the discussion was on creating a strategy to reduce plastic waste and economic empowerment of people in urban and rural.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very proud of the achievements of our team. To be honest, this is the unexpectedly beautiful grace of God’s gift. Moreover, I would like to thank all those who have supported me”, said Al Fauzi.
