IGOV Arrange the Discussion with IGOV’s Studens Batch 2022

July 03, 2023 (Monday) – In the context of discussing the IGOV Activity Plan for Class of 2022, the International Program of Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV) invited IGOV Students Batch 2022 to attend the discussion. The activity was held at Yats Colony. Jl. Patangpuhan No.23, Patangpuhan, Wirobrajan, City of Yogyakarta Special Region of Yogyakarta 55251. On Monday, 03 July 2023 3:00 PM to finish, on the 2nd floor, which is the meeting room.

The discussion was held so that Class of 2022 students would know about lecture plans for the future. As for the series of events that were carried out, it began with students arriving and filling out the available attendance list. As an opening, Muhammad Naufal Rofi, S. I. P., who is a staff of education, finance, and administration of IGOV introduced himself and other staff.

The first activity is an overview of Hello Research activities and discussion of course plans for the next semester, and students are also allowed to submit complaints during college. Then it is continued by the Director of IGOV (Sakir Ridho Wijaya, S.IP, M.IP) to discuss in more detail about English Booster in Pare. At the end of the activity, students and staff went down to the 1st floor to have dinner together.

Adil, IGOVer Batch 2020. Attent The Mobility Farewell Party in UMP

On June 23rd, 2023, the Centre for International Relations at UMP (Universiti Malaysia Pahang) organized a Mobility Farewell event. The purpose of this event was to create a sense of camaraderie among student mobility participants at UMP. Located at Micasa Cafe By the River in Kuantan, the event was attended by all the foreign college students who were part of the student exchange program at UMP, known as Student Mobility.

The Mobility Farewell event lasted for approximately 3 hours and was a resounding success. Adil Ario Fernandy, an IGOV UMY student who participated in the event, expressed his enjoyment of the occasion. He particularly highlighted the Quiz Session, which added a fun element to the event. Another highlight of the evening was the TikTok Time, during which every Mobility Student was encouraged to create a TikTok video sharing their impressions and experiences of studying at UMP.

The Mobility Farewell event not only provided a platform for student mobility participants to bid farewell to each other, but it also allowed them to reflect on their time at UMP. By incorporating interactive activities such as the Quiz Session and TikTok Time, the event successfully fostered a sense of togetherness and celebration. Overall, the event served as a memorable conclusion to the students’ mobility experience at UMP and created lasting connections among the participants.

IGOV Invites Mahidol University to Join IGoPSS Summer School

June 30, 2023 (Friday) – In an effort to foster international cooperation and knowledge exchange, the International Governance and Public Administration (IGOV) organization has to promote the International Governance and Public Policy Summer School (IGoPSS) with Mahidol University

During today’s agenda from 10:00 to 11:00, notable figures, including Aung Win Tun, Assistant Dean for International Relations at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Graduate Studies, Idham Badruzaman, Ph.D., Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Farindira Vesti Rahmasari, MSc, Director of Administrative Cooperation, and Aulia Nur Kasiwi, Ph.D., Representative of IGOV, engaged in a productive discussion and Q&A session. The event highlighted the importance of the ongoing summer school, which focuses on the intersection of politics, sustainable development, and economic concerns.

IGoPSS Summer School offers a comprehensive program that includes a final assessment and gives students the unique opportunity to present their research papers at an international conference. This platform enables students to share their ideas and outcomes from the summer school program and potentially publish their articles in reputable journals such as “National Activities in Sinta 2” or “Level 2 Up.”

In an effort to expand participation, IGOV is extending an invitation to become an online partner for the summer school. Interested institutions can enroll a minimum of ten students, thereby benefiting from the scholarship program that covers the participation fee and conference registration. The summer school has attracted students from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand, enhancing the diverse and enriching learning environment.

The Summer School will officially conclude on July 5, 2023, leaving students with a wealth of knowledge and valuable experiences in politics and sustainable development. Aulia Nur Kasiwi, Ph.D., hopes the program will provide course materials and yield tangible outcomes and outputs for all participants.

Social Media Workshop Empowers Digital Media Staff to Become Effective Copywriters and Content Creators

Yogyakarta/June 26, 2023. In a recent “Kopdar Mimin Workshop Chapter 2” workshop, social media administrators gathered at the AR-Fachruddin B Meeting Room, located on the 5th floor of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University. The workshop, organized by the Bureau of Public Relations and Protocol, aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to become effective social media copywriters and content creators.

The core theme of the workshop, “Becoming an Effective Social Media Copywriter & Content Creator,” captivated the attendees, who were eager to enhance their abilities in this increasingly influential field. The event featured two distinguished speakers: Agus Mulyadi, a renowned blogger, writer, copywriter, and content writer, and Erwan Sudiwijaya, an esteemed lecturer in Communication Studies at UMY.

Agus Mulyadi shared valuable insights on content creation strategies that can significantly impact social media accounts. He emphasized the importance of producing insightful and viral content at least once a week to attract and engage audiences. Agus encouraged administrators not to hesitate to share quotes from influential figures, as these posts have the potential to be widely shared and reposted, thus increasing account visibility.

IGOV Staff Engage in Technical Events and Protocols: Enhancing Skills and Understanding

Yogyakarta, June 23, 2023 – On Friday, IGOV staff gathered on the 5th floor of Building 6 Kyai Haji Ibrahim to participate in a significant event focused on technical events and protocols. This informative session, attended by various work units, supporting units, educational programs, and student representatives including the Student Activity Unit, Student Executive Board, and Student Representative Council, aimed to provide comprehensive knowledge and training on event management, protocol implementation, and activities coordination. this event was attended by Muhammad Naufal Rofi, S. I. P. as staff of education, finance, and administration od IGOV.

Beginning promptly at 8 am and concluding at 10 am, the event served as a platform to foster a deeper understanding of the protocols adhered to within the Muhammadiyah area of Yogyakarta. This knowledge proved vital, especially when work units or student organizations invite important guests for events or other significant occasions. Additionally, the event covered essential aspects of event planning and management, equipping participants with valuable insights and tools.

The session on protocol comprised two main sections. The first segment delved into the fundamental concepts of protocol, addressing its definition and purpose. Participants explored the intricacies of protocol execution, including venue arrangement, ceremonial procedures, hierarchical respect, and the appropriate attire for various occasions. The second section focused on event management, providing valuable guidance on committee structure, functions, and event coordination. The session culminated with a discussion on the role of a liaison officer (LO) and offered practical tips and tricks for excelling in this vital position.

The teaching methodology employed during the session incorporated two core elements. Firstly, participants delved into the basic principles and significance of protocols, emphasizing the role of protocols as a set of rules that govern activities. Class of 2022 Students Giving Speech as Final Project

The students of the IGov class of 2022 recently undertook a unique final project for their English course. As part of their assignment, they were required to deliver speeches in front of their classmates. Each student took turns presenting their chosen theme, selecting material from TED videos to support their speech. Some students opted to enhance their presentations with PowerPoint slides, while others chose to deliver their speeches without visual aids. Miss Fitra, their English course lecturer, decided to introduce this alternative assignment format to foster creativity and engagement among her students. According to Nurizza, an IGov student from the class of 2022, the activity proved to be incredibly exciting, and all the students were enthusiastic participants.

The speeches were delivered in a total of eight classes, allowing each student to showcase their presentation skills and express their individual interests. This project provided a valuable opportunity for the students to refine their public speaking abilities and further develop their English language proficiency. By selecting TED videos as their reference material, the students were able to explore a wide range of topics and present diverse perspectives to their peers. The use of PowerPoint presentations added an interactive element to the speeches, enhancing the overall learning experience. Miss Fitra’s decision to deviate from traditional written assignments demonstrated her commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Handover of 3 MBKM ISI DKV Internship Participants to IGOV UMY

Yogyakarta, June 16, 2023 – In an effort to broaden students’ perspectives and enhance their experiences, the Internship Program based on Students’ Knowledge and Skills (MBKM) at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) in Visual Communication Design (DKV) has handed over 3 internship participants to the International Government (IGOV) at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY). The event took place in the Study Hall from 13:00 to 14:00 and involved various stakeholders.

The event began with a welcome speech from the Director of IGOV, Mr. Sakir Ridho Wijaya, S.IP., M.IP., extending greetings to the internship participants from MBKM ISI DKV. The internship participants, Siska and Fawwaz, were present at the event, while one participant was unable to attend. Also, present at the event were the internship supervisors from MBKM ISI DKV and three staff members from IGOV UMY, namely Muhammad Naufal Rofi, Fauzia Nauri Qisty, and Nurul Izzah Aulia.

During the introduction session, the internship participants were given an explanation of their tasks and responsibilities during their internship at IGOV UMY. Detailed information about their job desk was provided, ensuring that the participants understood their roles in supporting IGOV’s activities and programs. Additionally, the internship participants had the opportunity to take part in a campus tour of UMY. They were guided to visit various facilities and lecture rooms that would serve as their working and learning spaces during the internship.

The Director of IGOV expressed appreciation for the collaboration between MBKM ISI DKV and IGOV UMY in providing internship opportunities for students. It is hoped that the internship participants will be able to maximize their experiences and develop their potential and skills in a stimulating and supportive work environment.
